George Peters

Junior Data Scientist

George joined Prospect as a Football Data Scientist in February 2024, moving from Daios, a company building large language models fine-tuned using ethical values. Previous to this George, completed a Data Science & AI MSc at University of Exeter after studying Computer Science & Philosophy at undergraduate level. During his studies, George undertook two football data science dissertations, the first of which investigated the impact of using live lineups on the accuracy of football score prediction algorithms. His Master’s dissertation revolved around predicting transfer success using the compatibility of player profiles and team’s needs. Since joining Prospect, George has used these skills to work on a number of projects across football, with a focus on building out the Player Value Analysis tool suite. Outside of work, George enjoys playing football and watching Chelsea. He plays 5-a-side with his friends and is helping build out a team picking algorithm so that he never has to be on the wrong side of a one-sided thrashing again. He also enjoys running Dungeons and Dragons games for friends and painting, badly.
